Sania Mirza Back In Action SoonSania Mirza, absent from the tennis courts for the last two months due to a wrist injury, was seen looking better, fitter and in high spirits.

To quote Sania "I am surprised how well the treatment has worked for me .I have been hitting the ball for over two weeks now and am feeling very good".

Sania Ranked 98 in the world, is at present in the capital getting her wrist treated.
 
About her setback at the Olympics and her recovery she stated" I was totally depressed .The first few days were a daze for me. All I was doing was running in and out of hospitals undergoing X-rays .Many doctors said they couldn't understand why the pain in the wrist was recurring.......Rehabilitation and strenghtening, however brought me back to my routine".
 
The 22 year old players is all set to lead the team at the event in Hong Kong in January next year and is delighted about it. However she would like to take it a day at a time.

Quoting  Mirza, "I don't want to jump the gun. You never know what might happen tomorrow. If my wrist starts hurting again I will be off again".

Talking at length about her injury and recovery she said, "It's a process. For me the post-period of an injury is very difficult. You have a lot of self doubts....But that is something you have to get over with and move on ".

Although she considered leading a team to Hong Kong an Honour because of the likes of Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams, Elena Jankovic, she also threw some light on the controversy about her not playing in India.

She said, " I never said I will not play in India .I said I won't be able to play that particular week (Bangalore Open) as it was not suiting my schedule and I was very tired as well.....Everything was blown out of proportion and words were put in my mouth. I would love to play in from of home crowd. All depends on whether it suits my schedule."
