Sarajevo paralyzed by public transport strike

BosniaSarajevo  - Students and employees in Sarajevo had to take cabs or walk Monday, as a strike of public transport drivers forcibly parked buses and trams.

The drivers, who demand the payment of backlog salaries and regular checks, went on an open-ended stoppage at 4 am local time.

The increased number of cars on the streets wreaked more havoc on the already chaotic downtown traffic in the city with more than half a million inhabitants.(dpa)
