Sequel to Transformers could be released in 2017

As per Hasbro, new part of Transformers could be in theatres in around two years. The idea is to have a deep story for Transformers 5, with multiple sequels and spinoffs.

Hasbro's chief executive officer Brian Goldner said, "Our plan with the studio and filmmakers you may have heard some writers being hired and Transformers Age Of Extinction we have in fact brought in Akiva Goldsman to lead a group of writers to really create a strategic plan around Transformers".

He also affirmed that the sequel to the Transformers movie could happen in 2017. Initially, it was considered that Paramount to push Transformers 5 for 2016. But it does not seem to be a feasible idea. Last month, it has been unveiled that Paramount Pictures have been putting in a lot of ideas to come up with many movies linked with each other.

It is something similar to what Marvel is doing with the Avengers, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man. Goldner was of the view that there are many stories with the brand that is around three decades old and also has amazing canon and mythology.

For now, it is not known that whether Goldner's plan meals the fifth installment will be released in two years or if the plan is to start the production at that time. For now, Michael Bay is occupied with the production of his Benghazi movie 13 Hours.

However, there are chances that he would return to the franchise and start the production on Transformers 5 in early 2016 for the 2017 release. There could also be chances that Hasbro and Paramount has to look for another filmmaker.

It cannot be ignored that film made $245.4 million in the domestic market and hundreds of millions more around the world.
