Six burnt bodies found in northern Mexico

Six burnt bodies found in northern MexicoMexico City  - Six burnt bodies were found Monday in a car near a public health clinic in the northern Mexican city of Tijuana, on the border with the United States, Mexican police said.

One of the bodies was totally charred, while the others were partially burnt.

Police presume that they were shot dead first and that the bodies were then set on fire. The victims' hands had been tied, and they had plastic bags over their heads.

Over 2,000 people have been killed by organized crime this year in Mexico, including scores of federal, state and local police officers. Most of the killings, however, are attributed to vendettas between drug gangs. (dpa)
