Indian Stock markets opened marginally higher and NSE Nifty touched an intraday high of 4800 on Tuesday. At higher levels, the markets reacted and slipped to a low of 4705 at 11.26 a.m. IST. Real estate and Banking stocks are still looking under pressure.

At 11.25 a.m., HDFC bank was trading with a loss of 3.3% at Rs 1286. Axis bank was down by 5.9 per cent at Rs 742. ICICI bank and IDBI were trading 1% lower compared to yesterday's close.

PSU Steel major SAIL was down by 5.6% in early trading session. The stock touched an intraday low of Rs 174.20.  Tata Steel was also down by 2.7% at Rs 675.

Technology major Wipro was down by 3.4% while Satyam Computers was marginally up.

The markets are expected to remain range bound on Tuesday.
