Study: Too Much Tofu consumption leads to memory loss

Study: Too Much Tofu consumption leads to memory lossAccording to a new study, conducted at Loughborough University, a high consumption of tofu or other soy products increases the risk of loss of memory over the time.

The major source of protein, soy, contains phytoestrogens which leads to memory loss.

The study examined 719 elderly people of Java (Indonesia). It found that the memory of those who ate tofu more than once a day functioned 20% less than those who ate very little of the soy products.

The study concluded that the elderly people (aged between 52 and 98) on a rich soy diet suffer a risk of brain damage as well.
