Suicide bombing hits security check post in north-west Pakistan

Pakistan flagIslamabad - At least three army troops were killed and seven injured on Monday in a suicide attack in north-west Pakistan, officials said.

A local security official told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa on condition of anonymity that a suicide bomber rammed an explosives- laden car into a post in Madin area of restive Swat valley in North West Frontier Province.

It was feared the death toll would rise, he added. Army spokesman Major Murad Khan confirmed the suicide attack, but said casualties had yet to be ascertained. (dpa)
