Barack Obama: Sasha almost died as a babyWashington, Mar 28: US President Barack Obama has revealed that his seven-year-old daughter, Sasha, almost died as an infant.

During his first-ever White House Internet town-hall meeting, Obama said that Sasha developed life-threatening meningitis when she was just three months old.

"The doctors did a terrific job," Us magazine quoted him, as saying at the meeting Thursday.

"….but frankly it was the nurses that were there with us when she had to get a spinal tap, and all sorts of things that were just bringing me to tears,” he added.
