Washington, Mar 27 : Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriend Holly Madison has suffered a rib injury while rehearsing for U. S. reality TV series ‘Dancing With The Stars’.

But the ‘Girls Next Door’ star has vowed to continue competing on the show.

She was called up as a late replacement for singer Jewel, who was diagnosed with tendinitis after collapsing in rehearsals.

However, Madison has now suffered an injury of her own, after a fall left her with a painful rib injury.

Washington, March 27 : A report published by the Partnership for European Environmental Research (PEER), has suggested that specific measures to tackle climate change, such as emissions trading, will only be successful if they are coherently supported by other government policies addressing economic and social issues.

The report explains that, in order to create an effective, Europe wide climate policy, climate change issues must be better integrated into both general and sector-specific policies such as taxation, transportation, and land use planning.

Washington, March 27 : A new study by a Queen’s University Belfast academic has shown that crabs not only suffer pain but that they retain a memory of it.

The study, which looked at the reactions of hermit crabs to small electric shocks, was carried out by Professor Bob Elwood and Mirjam Appel from the School of Biological Sciences at Queen’s.

Professor Elwood, who previously carried out a study showing that prawns endure pain, said his research highlighted the need to investigate how crustaceans used in food industries are treated.

Researchers have recorded the transfer of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from infected to uninfected T cells through structures called virological synapses.

The breakthrough study could lead to new methods to block the transmission of HIV, and shows that cell-to-cell may be the predominant mode of HIV transmission in the body.

Dubbed a modern-day Cinderella tale, story revolves around a female physical therapist, who falls in love with a basketball player while helping him recover from a career-threatening injury, reports Variety.

The project had been set up six years ago at Disney but was put into turnaround and picked up by Fox Searchlight.

Washington, March 27 : Engineers at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), for the first time, have observed the initiation of a mass gathering and subsequent migration of hundreds of millions of fish.

The work, conducted using a novel imaging technique, "provides information essential to the conservation of marine ecosystems that vast oceanic fish shoals inhabit," according to the research team.

It also confirms theories about the behavior of large groups of animals in general, from bird flocks to locust swarms.

Until now, those theories had only been predicted through theoretical investigations, computer simulations and laboratory experiments.
