London, April 9: The life of American preacher Arthur Blessitt, who has spent the last 40 years walking across 315 countries carrying a cross, has been turned into a documentary.
The 68-year-old marked his place in Guinness World Records for the World’s Longest Walk by treading 38,102 miles with the 12ft-high, 45lb wooden symbol crossing every ocean and covering all seven continents.
And now his epic adventure, which also landed him face to face with death during his visit to 52 war zones, forms the base of ‘The Cross: The Arthur Blessitt Story’.
Washington, April 9 : Enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) with agalsidase alfa may slow deterioration of kidney function in men with Fabry disease, provided the treatment is started early, suggests a new study.
"The results provide further evidence that ERT with agalsidase alfa may slow the progression of kidney disease, provided that ERT is initiated early in the disease process," said Michael L. West, MD (Dalhousie University, Canada).

Washington, Apr 9 : The White House has denied that President Barack Obama bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London, a scene that drew criticism on the right and praise from some Arab outlets.
The photographs show that Obama at least stooped significantly before the 84-year-old Saudi monarch. The Right wing back home has criticised and disapproved Obama's action.
"It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah," Politico. com quoted an Obama aide, as saying.
Washington, April 9: Researchers from the University of Missouri School of Journalism have found that despite financial troubles and cutbacks, traditional media Web sites are more comprehensive and technologically advanced than citizen media and bloggers.
"We found that legacy sites offered almost double the percent of news (89 percent) in comparison with citizen news sites (56 percent) and three times that of blogs (27 percent)," said Margaret Duffy, faculty chair in strategic communication in the Journalism School.
Washington, Apr 9 : Researchers from University of Michigan have revealed that giving high doses of radiation along with chemotherapy can significantly improve survival in patients with stage III lung cancer.
The standard treatment for this stage of lung cancer - when the tumour is likely too large to be removed through surgery - involves a combination of radiation therapy with chemotherapy.
