Washington, Apr. 24 : Tarnished cricket-loving Texas billionaire Allen Stanford is living on charity, according to his 30-year-old fiancée Andrea Stoelker.
When the FBI found him, Stanford, who was once known for his larger than life existence, was served with fraud charges related to an eight billion dollar Caribbean pyramid scheme, had taken refuge at the family home of his 30-year-old fiancée, Andrea Stoelker, a modest town house that was a far cry from the mansions and castles of his privileged life further south.
Washington, Apr 24 : Liver disease is responsible for most of the alcohol-related deaths and illness, according to a Portugal study.
The new research showed that liver disease is the most prevalent cause of alcohol-related deaths, followed by car accidents and cancer.
Its showed that 3.8pct of all deaths in Portugal were related to alcohol consumption and account for a death toll of 4,054 people every year. 28.3pct of the people died of liver disease, followed by 26.2pct of the car accidents and 21 pct from different type of cancers.

Washington, April 24 : New observations by a suite of five NASA space probes has reportedly solved the mystery of the Northern Lights, attributing the cause of the natural phenomenon to powerful currents generated by giant electrical tornadoes in outer space.
The probe cluster, called Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms (THEMIS), indicate that these "space tornadoes" span a volume as large as Earth and produce electrical currents exceeding 100,000 amperes.
