Supernovae originate from dying red supergiant stars

SupernovaeWashington, March 20 : A team of scientists has confirmed the origin of supernovae as being produced from dying red supergiant stars.

The scientists are from the Dark Cosmology Centre at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen and from Queens University, Belfast.

A star is a large ball of hot gas and in its incredibly hot interior hydrogen atoms combine to form helium, which subsequently forms carbon, other heavier elements and finally iron.

When all the atoms in the centre have turned to iron the fuel is depleted and the star dies.

Limp Bizkit’s Durst insists he ‘did not lie’ about romance with Britney

Britney SpearsWashington, Mar 20 : ‘Limp Bizkit’ frontman Fred Durst has insisted that he ‘in no way lied’ about his alleged brief romance with Britney Spears in 2003.

Durst, 38, had told fans via his website that he was enjoying a fling with Spears after he had been roped in to help write tracks for her album.

The Toxic singer, however, told now defunct MTV show Total Request Live that she was neither dating him nor close to him.

And Durst is still slightly bruised by the knock-back, insisting the whole affair was a “fiasco of madness”.

He admitted that before he checked into the centre, he was full of “pain and sadness” and “suicidal thoughts”, and when he could not cope with his mum Sharon being diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002, he knew he had a serious problem.

The movie is Tyler Perry''s upcoming film for Lionsgate, and is based on his play of the same name, reports Variety magazine.

Blige, 38, will portray a nightclub manager and singer who is a good friend to Henson''s character.

Perry’s signature character Madea will be featured in the film, and the filming will take place at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.
