Washington, Sept 14: Colombian pop superstar Shakira has quietly enrolled at Los Angeles University UCLA to study the history of western civilization.

The Hips Don't Lie hitmaker has been going for classes for the past month and is studying with professor Robert Cleve, according to Peopleenespanol.com.

The curvy singer, who made her debut album ‘Magia’ at the age of 14, is a two-time Grammy Award winner and eight-time Latin Grammy winner.

Brighter tumours indicate poorer prognosis

Washington, Sept 14: A new study of cervical cancer patients has revealed that irrespective of being big or small, if a tumour glows brightly in a PET (positron emission tomography) scan, it is likely to be more dangerous than dimmer tumours.

The study conducted by Washington University School of Medicine researchers reveals that PET ‘can reliably identify patients who have a poorer prognosis’.

Dr Reddy's Gets Final FDA Nod For Ranitidine 150mg Tabs

New Delhi: Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) has received final approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Ranitidine 150mg pill by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

DRL is the only generic maker to get FDA authorization for this Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) product accompanying the expiry of innovator's patents.

According to a statement, the company will distribute the 150 mg potency in blister counts of 8 and 24’s plus bottles of 50, 65 and 95 counts.

Oil Closes Above $80 For First Time

After fluttering at the peak for a number of days, yesterday, the U.S. crude oil prices closed above $80 per barrel for the first time.

For next month delivery, sweet crude added up 18 cents to close at $80.09 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

The price had hit $80.15 during the session and $80.20 during the earlier electronic trading. But, it was the first closing in what one investor called unchartered territory.

Longoria dismisses Becks, Williams’ gay ‘Desperate Housewives’ role reports

Washington: Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has dismissed reports suggesting football ace David Beckham and Robbie Williams will be going gay for an episode of her hit show.

Longoria, who plays Gabrielle Solis on the popular show, asserted that even she was taken in by the reports and that urged her to speak to Beckham's wife Victoria about it.

Posh, who was present on the set of the show to film an upcoming episode, was approached by Longoria asking if the reports were true.
