Andy Murray Indian Wells, California  - Roger Federer suffered a fourth straight humiliation at the hands of Andy Murray on Saturday with the Scot running away with the third set to reach the final of the Indian Wells Masters 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.

Federer has not beaten world number 3 Murray since the US Open final six months ago. In the interim, the Scot has won showdowns at Madrid, Shanghai, Doha and now in the Californian desert.

Murray will await the winner from 2007 champion Rafael Nadal and American Andy Roddick, who leads the ATP with victories this season on 23.

Five thousand people evacuated after US acid spill

Washington  - At least 5,000 residents were evacuated in eastern Pennsylvania after a truck carrying 33,000 pounds of toxic hydrofluoric acid overturned early Saturday.

Driver Raymond Leblanc, 54, of Ontario, Canada, lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting a deer. He was initially trapped in the truck, but was rescued unhurt. Another passenger was also removed from the site and no other injuries were reported, police said.

Most of the acid was in the form of pressurized gas, police told broadcaster CNN and the leak was plugged eight and a half hours after the trailer overturned near Wind Gap, Pennsylvania.

"I enthusiastically welcome the decision made by French President Nicolas Sarkozy to fully reintegrate France into the NATO alliance," Obama said in a statement.
