The study published online in the journal Sex Roles found that gay men are more likely to have a gender preference for their adopted child whereas heterosexual men are the least likely.

What''s more, couples in heterosexual relationships are more likely to prefer girls than people in same-gender relationships, according to Dr. Abbie Goldberg from Clark University in the US.

The US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations had scheduled a full committee hearing on Wednesday, but it had to be postponed for technical reasons.

A congressional aide was quoted by the Dawn as saying, that the hearing has been postponed indefinitely.

"It will now be held after the April recess," a source said.

New Delhi, Apr 3: China and the United States will resume military exchanges that were suspended last November.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said on Thursday that President Hu Jintao and his US counterpart Barack Obama reached the agreement at their first meeting on Wednesday, one day before the G20 summit in London.

“Both sides share a commitment to military-to-military relations and will work for their continued improvement and development,” the White House said in a statement.
