Liverpool striker Torres can’t dribble ball past talented doggy!

London, Nov 27: Liverpool striker Fernando Torres was frustrated by a German Shepherd as he failed to find a way past the tailed footie.

The Spanish hitman (24) was stunned by the tackling skills of ‘Hank’, the German Shepherd on a visit to a dog training centre.

Torres was filming a TV show for his home country, but the footage found its way on to video website YouTube.

At one point he tries a trademark flick but the dog, wearing the No 8 shirt of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, muzzles it away.

One fan said: “One minute Fernando was performing his tricks, the next he was chasing shadows.”

England denies canceling India tour, to take decision in next 24 hours

London, Nov 27 : Disputing news reports that England had decided to call off rest of the cricket series against India (two ODIs and two Tests) following the Mumbai terror strikes, sources close to the visiting team have said that they have not taken any such decision so far, and that they were in constant touch with the BCCI discussing security issues.

Hugh Morris, the ECB''s managing director of England cricket, said that a final decision whether to cancel the tour or continue with it, would be taken in the next 24 hours.

Contador wins Golden Bike award

Paris FlagParis  - Giro d'Italia and Vuelta champion Alberto Contador of Spain won the prestigious Golden Bike award for the second straight year on Wednesday.

Contador received 72 votes as he beat Olympic time trial champion Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland (47) and Tour de France champion Carlos Sastre of Spain (36) in the poll among the cycling media conducted by France's Velo Magazine.

Contador, 25, won the Tour in 2007 and completed his collection of major race wins this year at the Giro and Tour of Spain. He was unable to go for a second Tour de France title because his Astana team was not invited in 2008 over its doping-tainted past.
