Real Madrid eyeing Beckham for 10 million pounds

Real Madrid eyeing Bekham for 10 million poundsLondon, Mar. 18: David Beckham may don the Real Madrid shirt this summer if Florentino Perez becomes the club’s president again.

“Florentino will try to bring Becks back if he decides to run for presidency. It would be silly to deny it,” The Telegraph quoted a top Madrid source, as saying.

It was Perez who bought the star footballer from Manchester United for 24million pounds in 2003, and with Perez emerging as the favourite contender for the presidency it shouldn’t be a surprise to see Bekham with a Madrid logo on his chest.

If Europe has its way, UK’s Premier League could be history soon

London, Mar. 18 : Football's most powerful clubs are hatching plans for a European Super League which could destroy the Premier League.

According to The Sun, the Euro revolution would see the creation of three divisions - each with 20 teams.

The Big Four - Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal - would be in the top division, forced to play 38 European games alone. That would rule out any chance of them competing in the Premier League as well and would therefore spell the end of English football as we know it.

Premier chief executive Richard Scudamore has been alerted and has said that he would fiercely resist any moves to either abolish the Premier or reduce its size to accommodate extra European fixtures.

Did Arsenal skipper spit at HUll assistant manager?

London, Mar. 18 : Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has been sensationally accused of spitting at Hull assistant manager Brian Horton.

According to The Sun, Fabregas stormed over to Horton after the Gunners' controversial 2-1 FA Cup win and spat at him on The Emirates pitch.

Hull boss Phil Brown raged: "I was there, I witnessed it. Fabregas spat at our assistant manager. That's their club captain. Hopefully he's proud of himself. He spat at his feet."

But last night a stunned Fabregas phoned The Sun to vehemently deny the claim.

He insisted: "I absolutely and categorically deny I spat at anyone and I cannot understand why Hull are making these accusations against me.
