Sushil Kumar, the bronze medal winner at the Olympics for boxing is being Sushil Honored With Rs 5 Lakh Award honored with more rewards. Recently he was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh at a felicitation function in Chennai. 

Sushil, who is just 25 years old, made India proud when he won the bronze medal in the 66 kg freestyle event at the Beijing Games. At the function in Chennai, this proud winner said, “My first target is winning the gold in 2010 Commonwealth Games. I have started the preparations. Then I will focus on winning gold at the 2012 London Olympics.”

ICL Offered Me Rs 10 Crore Deal: Mortaza

Bangladesh vice-captain Mashrafe Mortaza claimed that he was presented with an ICL Offered Me Rs 10 Crore Deal: Mortazaoffer of Rs 10 crore by the Indian Cricket League (ICL). However, he rejected the offer. 

Speaking with reporters, the all-rounder said, “I turned down an offer of Rs.10 crore from the ICL authority. I had been offered Rs.8 crore before it was raised to Rs.10 crore.”

“Money is important and no doubt all professional players play for money. But in my opinion for a player's first priority should be his country,” he added.
