PCB demands legal costs incurred in getting Asif released from Dubai jailLahore, Nov 21 : PCB has reportedly slapped a whopping bill on suspended Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Asif for the legal costs incurred for his release from detention in Dubai earlier this year.

Asif was detained at the Dubai airport for 19 days for carrying a drug-like substance.

Following his detention, the Board had hired the legal firm “Afridi and Angel” to represent him in the case contested with the Dubai police.

Mushfiqur was found guilty of showing dissent at an umpire’s decision by Alan Hurst of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees at a hearing that took place after play concluded in Bloemfontein on Thursday.

The 20-year-old was found to have breached Level 1.3 of the code which relates to “showing dissent at an umpire’s decision”.

The High Court had found former president Sharad Pawar and five others guilty of perjury in a case relating to misappropriation of funds by ex-BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya.

International news agencies boycott Oz-Kiwi Gabba Test

Sydney, Nov 21: Almost all the leading news agencies across the world have decided to boycott covering the first Test between Australia and New Zealand, which began yesterday at the Gabba, because of ‘conditions imposed by the organizers’.

The agencies — Agence France-Presse, Associated Press, Reuters and Getty Images — have also suspended coverage of all Australian cricket news until further notice over demands made by the governing body, Cricket Australia (CA), reported The News.

Rondo scored a season-high 18 points and handed out eight assists as the defending NBA Champion Celtics routed the visiting Pistons 98- 80 in a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference finals.
