Sania Mirza’s Pak tour postponed due to lack of sponsorshipIslamabad, Nov 19 : Due to lack of sponsors, Indian women tennis ace Sania Mirza’s proposed Pakistan tour has reportedly been postponed.

The tour was jointly planned by the PTF (Pakistan Tennis Federation) and the (ITF) Indian Tennis Federation to promote tennis and improve bilateral relations between the two federations, reported the Daily Times.

England winger Walcott out of Germany friendly with shoulder injuryLondon  - England's preparations for Wednesday's friendly against Germany in Berlin were dealt another blow late Tuesday when Arsenal winger Theo Walcott was ruled out because of a dislocated shoulder.

The 19-year-old, who scored a hat-trick in England's World Cup qualifying win in Croatia, suffered the injury in training in Berlin.

He was taken to hospital, where the shoulder was put back into place, but Walcott is now set to fly home.

State TV drops live coverage of scandal-hit China league

Beijing - State-run China Central Television, the country's main national broadcaster, has suspended its live coverage of the Chinese Super League after the latest in a series of scandals to hit the ailing league, reports said on Tuesday.

A mass brawl at the end of last Wednesday's match between Beijing Guo'an and Tianjin Kangshifu was apparently the final straw for CCTV.

"The present situation of Chinese football has hurt everybody," Jiang Heping, the controller of sports channel CCTV-5, told the popular Titan Sports newspaper.

Jiang said CCTV made the decision to drop coverage to be "responsible to the country and to people."
