London, Jan 06 : The 12-year-old son of fallen football legend Paul Gascoigne a. k. a Gazza has spoken of his fear while he lived with his dad.

Regan revealed that the 41-year-old once started a fire in their hotel room when he passed out and his lit cig fell on a bed.

"I had to pat out the fire with my hands. I thought I was going to die," The Sun quoted Regan, as saying.

"It was so scary," Regan added.

London, Jan. 6 : The England and Wales Cricket Board has apparently given the green light to approach Graham Ford to become the cricket team's new coach.

South African Ford is the bookies' favourite to replace Peter Moores, who looks increasingly likely to lose his job this week following a bust-up with captain Kevin Pietersen.

Kent for whom Ford is their director of cricket, has said that it would not stand in his way if the England job came knocking.

London, Jan. 6: Argentine footballer Carlos Tevez is on a collision course with Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson after saying last night that he would love to play for the Spanish football club Real Madrid.

Tevez admitted in a Spanish magazine: "Who wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid? "Like Manchester, they are one of the best clubs in the world - and it would be a pleasure to play for them."

He fell for 39 in the morning session, departing to a respectful applause from the crowd who wondered if the 103-Test veteran had played his last innings.

London  - A second-half goal from Carlos Villanueva helped Blackburn Rovers reach the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 1-0 win Monday at non-league Blyth Spartans.

The Chilean midfielder curled in a free kick 13 minutes into the second half to seal Blackburn's place in the last 32 of the competition.

Rovers will now play at Sunderland in the fourth round.

"It was very comfortable until the last five to 10 minutes, but having not converted our chances they were bound to get a chance at some stage," Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce said.
