PCB LogoLahore, Feb. 13 : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed a committee to probe the controversy surrounding the 2006 Oval Test, whose result was twice changed.

Umpires Billy Doctrove and Darrell Hair ruled that Pakistan had forfeited the match after captain Inzamam-ul Haq refused to take the field against England following accusations of ball tampering.

Pressure from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) saw the result of the Test match changed from an England win to a draw by "match abandoned" by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in July.

The International Biathlon Union (IBU) said that Ekaterina Iourieva and Dmitri Yaroshenko each failed two tests at the World Cup season-opener in Ostersund, Sweden, in early December. Albina Akhatova submitted one positive sample there as IBU boss Anders Besseberg spoke of organized doping.

Miandad denies having differences with PCB Chairman ButtIslamabad, Feb. 13: Sacked Director General of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Javed Miandad has refuted reports of him having differences with Board Chairman Ijaz Butt, saying he wanted to serve Pakistan cricket and help regain its lost glory.

Miandad also denied that there was a financial issue behind his removal from the post, saying he is ready to serve to uplift the standard of the game in the country, free of cost.
