Taufel seeks clarification from ICC through his Lahore attack reportSydney, Mar. 11: Over a week after the Lahore terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricket players and officials, Australian and ICC elite umpire Simon Taufel has sought an explanation from the cricket's apex governing body, the International Cricket Council (ICC), which has urged umpires to be more `rational'on the issue.

Taufel sent his report to ICC CEO Haroon Lorgat.

The Courier Mail quoted his agent, Matt Fearon, as saying that the Queensland all rounder, who hadn''t "seen his own head for about five years", had gone in with "the normal nerves about a new look".

"He''s looking fresh; I think he looks more responsible. Certainly, he''s more streamlined," Fearon added.

Mehmet Okur scored 24 points, Paul Millshap had 22 with nine rebounds and the streaking Jazz pulled away late Tuesday night to beat the Indiana Pacers 112-100 for their season-high 12th-consecutive victory.

"We have confidence that we're going to win every game we play, no matter what the scenario might be," Jazz forward Carlos Boozer said after finishing with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Just 24 hours after Finland's Janne Ahonen announced that he was returning to the sport after less than a year in retirement, the Japanese jumper celebrated the fifth World Cup victory of his career with jumps of 123.5 metres and 123m for a total of 241.7 points.

Switzerland's Simon Ammann came second on 240.4 points after jumps of 119.5m and 126m with Adam Malysz of Poland claiming third on 239.3 after jumps of 119m and 127m.

Ferdinand fit to face Inter

Ferdinand fit to face InterLondon - Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed on Tuesday that defender Rio Ferdinand will play against Inter Milan on Wednesday.

Ferdinand had been a doubt for the Champions League last-16 tie after turning his ankle in the 4-0 FA Cup victory over Fulham on Saturday.

But he returned to training on Tuesday morning, as did defender John O'Shea, who has overcome a heel problem.

"They are both fit and they will both play," Ferguson told reporters.

"They both trained for the first time on Tuesday morning and that was important for us."
