A local court in Patiala allowed Bhangra-pop singer Daler Mehndi to use his passport for traveling abroad.

Mehndi was accused of human trafficking in September 2003. It was alleged that he was taking money to include people in his musical group and help them to migrate illegally to other countries.

Mehandi's lawyer on Monday told the court Mehndi had several stage performances in abroad and for that he requires his passport. He said that Mehndi had been attending all court hearings in Patiala. Mehendi was present in the Court on Monday.

A rare print of Satyajit Ray’s controversial film, ‘Sikkim’, has been restored by the Oscars Academy, and will be shown during the 14th Kolkata Film Festival to be held from November 10 to 17.

The documentary film, made in 1971, was banned by Indian censors for glorifying monarchy in a Himalayan kingdom that acceded to India. Commissioned by the then Chogyal King of Sikkim and his wife, the film earned censorship both from them and from the Indian government after the state’s accession to India in 1975.

The celebrity couple, Ajay Devgan and Kajol, have always impressed audiences with their on-screen and off-screen chemistry, and now they have won millions of hearts with the touching gesture for the Senior Citizens’ Run. 

The couple was in New Delhi on Sunday November 9, for one of the four sporting events in the capital, along with Half Marathon, Wheelchair Event and the Great Delhi Run.

Producer Bunty Walia’s film, ‘Lamha’, is a first film to be entirely shot in post-insurgency Kashmir. Though all precautions were taken for the shooting of the film, it still ran into trouble with protesting mobs.

The reason the locals were protesting was that they were afraid of being portrayed negatively, as the film is supposed to present a realistic look of the state with guns and militancy.

According to Chicago Tribune sources, William Balfour, the only individual identified as a 'person of interest' in the double slaying of Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother, allegedly confessed his involvement to a current girlfriend.

However, Balfour's girlfriend told police, he played no role in the death of Hudson's nephew, seven year old Julian King, son of Jennifer's sister Julia and Balfour's estranged wife. King, who also went missing the same time as the shootings took place, was later discovered shot dead in an SUV found on the South Side of Chicago.

Talking to the magazine at Hollywood Dominoes VIP launch in London, Miller said she was single and completely happy about it, as being in a relationship meant the press was constantly prying and criticizing it.
