London, Nov 27 : Disputing news reports that England had decided to call off rest of the cricket series against India (two ODIs and two Tests) following the Mumbai terror strikes, sources close to the visiting team have said that they have not taken any such decision so far, and that they were in constant touch with the BCCI discussing security issues.

Hugh Morris, the ECB''s managing director of England cricket, said that a final decision whether to cancel the tour or continue with it, would be taken in the next 24 hours.

According to England team sources, the decision was taken after consulting their country’s foreign ministry, which reportedly advised them to immediately suspend the tour and return home.

The team is expected to fly back home by the evening, said sources close to the England cricket team.

In this regard, Pakistan vice-captain Misbahul Haq had submitted a proposal with the constitution committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sports Ministry last week, calling for cricketers to have an association.

Dropped Vaughan eyes return to beleaguered England side for two Tests

London, Nov 26: Former England skipper Michael Vaughan who was dropped for India tour, has said that he was prepared to play in the upcoming two-Test series against India, if required.

The English cricketer, who is also presently in India, said he was ready to help out England captain Kevin Pietersen, especially when the tourists are being thrashed by the hosts in the ongoing ODI series.
