Detractor challenges his eligibility for contesting polls, says RCA chief was convicted for drug-trafficking in the US

Testing time for Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) president Lalit Modi doesn't seem to end though he has secured four back to back 'legal' win against his detractors in the past few days.

One of his detractors Sanjay Dixit, who is fuelling a battle against Modi in RCA, challenged Modi's eligibility for contesting in RCA elections. Dixit on Wednesday filed an application before justice NM Kasliwal, who is chairman and observer for the elections of RCA. Dixit alleged in the application that Modi had been convicted for drug trafficking, kidnapping and assaulting in the US in 1985.

The reigning I-League champions will take on Al Sharjah in the play-off match of the AFC Champions League at the Sharjah Stadium on Wednesday.

Dempo need to put behind their mediocre performance in the ongoing I-League for the clash against a physically stronger UAE club. The winner will book a place in Group B of the AFC Champions League, where they will clash with Iran's Persepolis, Al Shabab of Saudi Arabia and Qatar outfit Al Gharafa.

Rajasthan Royals to play all home matches in Jaipur

The Season II of the Indian Premier League will commence on April 10. The inaugural match will be held in Jaipur between defending champions Rajasthan Royals and Delhi DareDevils. Chennai will host the two semifinals on May 21 and May 22 while the final will be held in Mumbai on May 24.

The venue for the final has not yet been decided. "We're in talks. Soon we will come to a decision," an IPL official said. The options before the IPL are the CCI and the DY Patel Stadium in Nerul.
