Blue Coat initiates product recycling and reuse program

Blue-Coat-SystemsWith the dual aim of diminishing Blue Coat product waste intended for landfills by nearly 90 percent and generating cost savings, Blue Coat Systems, the technology leader in Application Delivery Networking, has initiated a product recycling service.

Blue Coat, which is investing $1 million in a global channel rewards program, is expecting the proceeds from the recycling and reuse program to cover not only the costs of the service, but also to yield nearly $750,000 per year in additional operational savings.

Fortis Healthcare May Buy 74% Stake In Wockhardt Hospitals; Stock Up 4.55%According to reports, Fortis Healthcare is likely to strike a deal to get hold of 74% equity stake in unlisted Wockhardt Hospitals for about Rs 7.5 billion.

If the deal get finalizes, Fortis will have to invest Rs 4 billion during the initial phase to acquire a 40% equity stake, which will be raised later.

But, a formal agreement is yet to be sealed, with both companies in the process of ironing out differences, which include the issue of branding the hospital chain, the report added.

Skype already boasts that 400 million customers around the world are using its peer-to-peer telephone system that allows free calls to other Skype members and cheaper rates than other phone companies for calls to landlines and mobile phones.

The airline's Chief Commercial Officer Sudheer Raghavan said that the cuts result from "excess manpower," the company would try to redeploy the affected fleet members for providing better customer service.

However, Mr. Bhargava said that Maruti would not slash prices to go up against the latest offering from the Tata stable.

Two-wheeler manufacturers including Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motors, too, understated the expected impact of Nano, and said that the two-wheeler market would remain untouched by the Nano attack.
