New Delhi, Sept 2 : Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Tuesday released a book ‘Walk With Me’ written by Minister for Tribal Affairs P. R. Kyndiah.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Singh said: “It is for me a matter of great pleasure and privilege to release this, in many ways, a unique book which celebrates the joys of walking and indeed which makes walking not only a means of promoting good and sound health but also which helps to raise the consciousness and makes it almost a spiritual experience.”
New Delhi, Sept 2 : In order to meet the deadline of producing Euro-III and Euro-IV grade petrol and diesel from April 2010, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the country’s largest refiner, is investing over Rs 12,000 crore to upgrade its seven refineries.
IOC Director (Refineries) B. N. Bankapur said, "All our refineries are on schedule to meet the Euro-III and Euro-IV deadline."
Petrol and diesel meeting the stringent Euro-IV specifications is to be supplied in seven metro cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad from April 1, 2010 and for the rest of the country Euro-III grade fuel is to be supplied from that date.
New Delhi, Sep 2 : A Delhi court on Tuesday held Sanjeev Nanda guilty in BMW hit-and-run case, in which six persons, including three constables, were killed in 1999.
Announcing that the quantum of punishment will be pronounced on Wednesday, Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Kumar said: Sanjeev Nanda, I hold you guilty under Section 304 (Part II) (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC."
