New Delhi, July 24 : The Centre has formulated detailed guidelines for implementing the Central Scheme for Assistance to Victims of Terrorist and Communal Violence.
The guidelines have been sent to the States and Union Territories. The Union Cabinet approved the Scheme in March.

The Defence Ministry will soon issue the request for proposal (RFP) to procure these 37 anti-submarine helicopters. The contract for choppers is worth Rs. 14, 500 million
The ministry has finalised global tenders to acquire troop carrying and anti-submarine helicopters as well as to upgrade its fleet of Sea King and Kamov-28 helicopters, a senior naval officer said.

New Delhi, July 24 : The Union Cabinet today gave its approval to the merger of the State Bank of Saurashtra with the State Bank of India to enable it to up-scale in terms of footprint, manpower and other resources.
The merger would also enable it to face competition arising from globalization of the economy, apart from augmenting efficiency and enabling better management of risk.
