New Delhi, Feb 16: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee will present the Interim Budget 2009-10 in the Lok Sabha today.

The Government is likely to announce some measures to reduce the impact of the global economic meltdown on the Indian economy.

According to observers, a package may be announced to address export sector concerns, which is the worst, hit being a labour intensive field.

Sops for sectors like rural development and infrastructure will also be considered in the interim budget.

New Delhi, Feb 15: Indian economists who met senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) L. K. Advani here suggested immediate initiatives on the part of the Government to regain investors'' confidence in the market.

These economists had met in the wake of current economic crisis and the state of affairs in the Indian context which have been viewed as matter of serious concern

New Delhi, Feb 14 : Indian Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday came out openly against on-screen smoking and said it was wrong to support promotion of drugs in any form.

"I am not criticizing the Judiciary, but it was wrong to support the promotion of drugs in any form," Ramdev said.

Known for his traditional remedies, Baba Ramdev said, "The law was in favour of the masses but unfortunately our court has opted an irresponsible attitude, which was not accepted by many citizens of the country."

They also attacked three couples and cut their hair at India's famous monument to love, the Taj Mahal in the state's Agra city.

The entire star cast landed up at a Mumbai suburban area on February 13 as a part of the promotion campaign, waving flags at the crowd.

Director of the film, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra spoke about the marketing strategy of his film.
