SAIL signs MoU with IIM, Ahmedabad for knowledge sharingNew Delhi, Sept 24: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Management Training Institute (MTI), the Corporate Training centre of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad here today.

The MoU was signed to meet the challenges of Human Resource Development keeping in view its ongoing modernisation and expansion programme.

Third runway at IGI Airport to be operationalised from tomorrow

Indira Gandhi Airport New Delhi, Sept 24 : The third runway of the Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi will become operational from Thursday morning.

The first flight to land at the airport will be an Air India Flight, scheduled to land at 6.15 a. m. These decisions were taken at a meeting of the Ministry of Civil Aviation with all stakeholders, chaired by Joint Secretary K. N. Srivastava.

The other decisions taken at the meeting are:-

• For optimal utilization of facilities and in the larger interest of the passengers, as far as possible all arrivals would be handled at runway 28-10 and all departures from the new runway (29-11).

Coast Guard efficient and dependable maritime of India: Antony

He was addressing the member of the industry, during a session organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi today.

“Aerospace Industry cannot be managed as just a public sector outfit in the years to come. Indian aerospace and defence industry calls for an immediate need to develop a conducive environment facilitated towards energizing the Aerospace industry,” said Major.

5 Indian Mujahideen members arrested by Mumbai policeMumbai, Sept 24 : The Mumbai police’s Crime branch on Wednesday arrested five suspected members of the Indian Mujahedeen, believed to be responsible for recent blasts in Delhi, Ahmadabad and other cities.

They have been identified as Abdul Afzal Usmani, Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh, Mohammad Aarif Sheikh, Ahmed Zakir Sheikh and Sheikh Mohammed Ansar.

According to the police they have also recovered ten kilograms of ammonium nitrate, four electric circuits, sub machine gun and revolvers from the suspects.
