On the occasion of their 101st birthday, twin sisters Betty Richards and Jenny Pelmore tell the secret of long life. The twins were born half an hour apart on January 1, 1908 in Manchester and there is a strong bond among them since childhood.

Both sisters were married but now they are widows. Earlier Richards was a kindergarten teacher and later she became a beekeeper and Pelmore was a secretary and later in life she became an accomplished painter.

A new study conducted by the Canadian researchers show that too much thinking can make you fat. Researchers found that the heavy thinkers consumed more calories.

The Telegraph reported that Dr Angelo Tremblay supervised the research team and after each of three tasks, the research team measured the spontaneous food intake of 14 students. The first task was relaxing in a sitting position, the second was reading and summarizing a text and the last was completing a series of memory, attention and vigilance tests on the computer.

The biggest wind-turbine maker of the country, Suzlon Energy would sell 10% stake in its Belgium arm Hansen to a London-based investment firm. Hansen supplies industrial and wind gear boxes besides providing designs of business and manufacturing practices. It is planning to expand its network in India and China.

Suzlon said in a filing before the Bombay Stock Exchange that its Netherlands-based wholly-owned subsidiary AE-Rotor Holding has sold 6.70 crore shares to Ecofin. The amount of deal is not disclosed yet by any party.  

A latest research conducted at the University Laval in Quebec has revealed that excessive thinking can add excess pounds.

The researchers observed the food intake of 14 students after they were assigned three different types of tasks. These included relaxing in a sitting position, reading and summarizing a text, and finally, completing a series of memory, attention, and vigilance tests on the computer.

It was found that despite the low energy cost of intellectual work, students consumed 203 more calories after summarizing a text, and 253 more calories after the computer tests as compared to the consumption of calories after relaxing in the sitting position.

Mumbai-headquartered ABM Knowledgeware Ltd has recieved an E-government Contract worth Rs 116 Crore from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), the largest Municipal Corporation in Asia.

The scope of work involves supply of SAP Licenses, Implementation of SAP Payroll for Employees of MCGM and Providing SAP Change Management Support till year 2011.

It may be noted that all these software and services will be billed to MCGM by ABM as per the Contract signed between MCGM and the Consortium of ABM-Siemens.
