A high cholesterol level is one of the major problems created by sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits. Recent research has given hope of effective cholesterol control with the new weapon - synthetic high-density lipoprotein (HDL), the 'good' cholesterol.

Researchers believe it could fight chronically high cholesterol levels and the deadly heart disease that often results due to higher cholestrol.

Recent studies revealed that women should take break from work before and after birth of the baby.

In first study, Sylvia Guendelman, professor of maternal and child health at UC Berkeley''s School of Public Health and her collogues found that women who took leave before they gave birth were almost four times less likely to have a primary C-section as women who worked through to delivery.

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has declared the Chandrayan has sent more than 40,000 images to the base station in the last two months. This simply means that Chandrayan is sending nearly 535 images daily to its base station. The Indian Moon mission was launched on October 22 last year.

"In last two months Chandrayan-1 has sent more than 40,000 images to the base station," said an elated Chairman G Madhavan Nair.

At present, the members of ISRO are analyzing these images and it is believed that these will certainly prove very useful to the scientific community.

A recent study by NASA has indicated the presence of methane gas on Mars, suggesting microbic life underground. Well, Methane is powerful greenhouse gas on the Earth, but its presence on Mars could be indicator of life that originates from biological processes.

So, if methane is on Mars, there's possibility of life as well, but according to the study, methane on Mars could be coming from changes in rocks.
