As per reports, S Krishna, a resident of Mamidipally in Rangareddy region, was an auto driver.

Krishna was suffering from tuberculosis (TB) and was taken to the hospital last week (on Thursday).

Krishna's mother, Lakshmamma, said that getting place in the hospital is not an easy task.

For this, she had to pay bribes to the hospital employees.

Around 1.30 a. m., Krishna's health become worse and he slipped into coma as the oxygen cylinder failed to work in a proper way.

Lakshmamma informed the hospital staff about the faulty oxygen cylinder.

At first, the staff was not ready to help Krishna's mother.

But, Meenaiah, an MNO, on duty at the time asked for Rs 200 for changing the oxygen cylinder.

Lakshmamma was not in a position to pay the demanded amount as she didn't have money at that time.

Meenaiah then ran off to take rest in the nearby ward room. A few minutes later, Krishna died.

But, Dr. SV Prasad, hospital superintendent stated that Krishna passed away not only because of staff carelessness but also because he had severe TB.

"We performed a minor surgery on him on Monday afternoon. We do not completely deny corruption charges against medical staff," he added.
