8 held as Education loan racket bustedA bunch of young men and women got arrested for illegally organizing education loan racket in the Capital. Those 8 youth deceived approximately 500 students by assuring them easy loans. The total amount of the fraud comes up into lot more than R1 crore. Bureaucrats of the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police expressed that the sufferers never even able to meet the office of the fraudsters.

The gang was illegally organized by 24-year-old Varun Sardana, an earlier member of staff of a multinational bank.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Neeraj Thakur expressed that Sardana and his 2 school friends Himanshu Sharma 21, and Sunny Pal 22, and 5 girls, aged between 19 and 27 years were arrested from their working hub at Parmanand Colony in Mukherjee Nagar on October 28.

Thakur expressed that the bunch of criminals advertised considerably in local dailies in the National Capital Region and presented relaxed education loans to vulnerable students. The girls in the fraud team were used to induce the students to deposit the amount of money.
