According to the latest information released, about 98 per cent of the students at premier business school in Jamshedpur, XLRI were offered jobs within a period of four days.

The students have been recruited for a wide variety of roles in different sectors of the economy.  XLRI said in a release on Saturday that 75 recruiters offered a total of 255 offers to a bath of 240 students   in its Business Management and Human Resource programmes.

The average salary for the batch is in the range of an impressive Rs. 16.2 lakh per annum. The institute is known for its excellence in HR programes and this was clear this year with students securing impressive profiles in various sectors including Consulting, FMCGs and other sectors and 65 students have received pre-placement offers from companies.

Fr E Abraham, director of XLRI said that "against the backdrop of an economic slowdown this year it is truly gratifying to see many respected organizations coming to XLRI year-after-year for recruiting our talented students."

The companies that participated in the recruitment included ITC, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, ITC, Kraft Cadbury, Asian Paints, Castrol, GSK Consumer Healthcare, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Loreal, Colgate Palmolive and Pidilite as well as financial institutions like Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, Nomura, Goldman Sachs and Development Bank of Singapore.
