As a part of its international operations, Kingfisher Airlines is exploring
various destinations across South-Asia, including Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The private air-carrier also has Colombo in Sri Lanka on its radar.
A top airline official told, “Karachi, Lahore, Colombo and Dhaka are on our radar.”
The air carrier would introduce flights to a few of these destinations after its planned launches of the New York and San Francisco flights in August from Bangalore.
The carrier said it will become the first Indian private air-carrier to fly to Pakistan, if it gets permission to run a service to Karachi and Lahore.
“We want to fly to Singapore, Bangkok, Shangdon, Munich etc. We have finalised our schedule and a final decision will be taken soon,” the representative said.
"However, all this is subject to the government`s approval," he added.
As part of its planned foreign operation, Kingfisher is also eyeing Kuala Lumpur and Dubai areas.
The airline has already appointed its general sales agents in the US and UK besides hiring other operational teams that include pilots and key engineering personnel.
