Aid for Air India

Aid for Air IndiaIt has been announced that the turnaround plan for Air India shall soon be out for the purpose of restructuring before the panel of ministers. There is a dire need for reforms in the falling standards of Air India. This is the reason the authorities are taking a strong stand on the matter and gathering as much as they can, to be approved by the expert panel soon.

"The turnaround plan has been approved by the bankers... Now it needs to go to a Group of Ministers (GoM) and it should happen very fast ... within the next couple of weeks", Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi said here.

There are a number of issues that need to be solved with constant contact with the government. The Airline is going through an all time low and there has to be a way found in order to bring it to a substantially good level. He further added that the Ministry was holding "regular dialogue with the Finance Ministry. We will continue this dialogue and go to the GoM when necessary".

The government has already set aside funds for the redevelopment process of the airline company. It is just a matter of time before the outcome of these reforms would be seen.
