Air India unions plan to launch agitationAir India unions have decided to launch an agitation to protest delayed payment of wages. This could lead to a strike. The unions have also opposed the execution of recommendations of two parliamentary committees. This includes separate domestic and international airlines under a single holding company.

Mr. V. J. Deka, spokesperson of a joint platform of the unions has informed the media yesterday that they are gong to launch an agitation. They will go with a peaceful protest. This is basically against the payment issues and implementation of the recommendations. This decision of strike has been taken by all the 11 unions.

The pilots and cabin crew are also taking part in this strike. He has also said that now the authorities have to decide on these issues and their demand.

As per Deka, the unions' platform, Civil Aviation Joint Action Forum (CAJAF) is going to a meeting next week. Over there they will be discussing these issues and then it will be decided whether or not to go on a strike.
