Arsiya to invest rupees 7468 crore in 3 years

Arsiya-InternationalOne of the major warehousing companies of India, Arsiya International Ltd has said that it is looking forward to invest close to rupees 7468 in the next three years period. The money will be used for starting up warehouses, distriparks and other railway infrastructure.

The information was given by the Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Mittal, who was talking to media on Wednesday.

Arsiya is into the business of developing chains and is also a maker of logistic. It was the first company that launched India's first Free Trade and Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) in Panvel. That project cost it rupees 1500 crore and is now planning to start four more such Free zones.

It plans to make these zones operational in two phases and will be employing close to 25,000 people. The company will also try to make it more flexible on the distribution end through the removal of duties, hassle-free re-export and low-cost product options.

As for the funding, the company said that it will be using both debt and equity offerings. The ratio and other critical decisions will become known in the next 12-18 months.
