Washington, Sept 22 : Popstar Ashanti is teaming up with singer/actress Judy Garland’s daughter Lorna Luft to perform at the 70th anniversary of film classic ‘The Wizard Of Oz’, it has emerged.

Ashanti has made her theatrical debut as Dorothy in Oz spin-off The Wiz in New York, reports Contactmusic.

The surviving five original Munchkins from the film will also appear at the event, which will be hosted by Tavern on the Green owner Jennifer Oz LeRoy, the granddaughter of The Wizard of Oz producer Mervyn LeRoy.

The restaurant and surrounding grounds will be converted into Oz''s Emerald City, replete with a winding Yellow Brick Road, for the night. (ANI)
