AT&T’s latest Femto cell-based 3G MicroCell device

AT&T’s latest Femto cell-based 3G MicroCell deviceThe wait seems to have ended as the latest platform of AT&T promises the new 3G MicroCell across the country making the sound and voice clarity to an extreme level a possibility.

It is believed that the US firm MicroCell's pioneer device - The Femtocell, aids in enhancing and reception of voice data available at home with 3G. It duplicates the function of a tower which leads to a better reception of signals and also keeps a track of voice signals eliminating the network hassles.

The device further aids in connecting the users' current broadband connection via an Ethernet cable, and later transmits cell signals at a range of around 40 feet approximately, which is enough to cover apartments and large spaces.

As the company states this device acts as an enhancer to spruce the cell signal performance in terms of cell reception and other applications, such as messaging and mobile internet browsing even at places where the connectivity is low or non-existent.

To make this scheme go smooth, AT&T has pulled in Cisco's support and for the users this facility is available at $150.
