Pharmaceutical major Aurobindo Pharma Limited has informed that it has secured the final approval for Clindamycin Hydrochloride Capsules USP 150mg and 300mg from the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA).

The drug is generic equivalent to Cleocin Hydrochloride Capsules 150mg (base) and 300mg (base) of Pharmacia & Upjohn Company, and indicated in the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria and falls under the Anti-infective therapeutic segment.

In a separate release, the company has received approval from Swissmedic, an agency of Switzerland government for therapeutic products, for the licence of Cefepime APL for injection 1g and 2g.
