Bentley has made announcement about the launching of its new model 'Mulsanne', which is priced around Rs 2.9 crore.

Moreover, British luxury car manufacturer stated that 'Mussanne' will hit the Indian roads by October this year.

Mr. Chris Buxton, regional director, Bentley (India, Middle-East and Africa), stated, "We have debuted this car in the Indian market for Bentley car connoisseurs. India has a very strong and vibrant economy. We are very hopeful about the future prospects of our business here."

Mulsanne, which is a super luxury car customized as per the requirements of the customers, features a 6.8-litre double turbo V8 engine producing 512 bhp with 1,020 Nm torque.

Mr. Buxton added that it takes around 650 hours to create a Bentley super-luxury car and it is "truly handmade".

The company has already rolled out this model in the international market.

"US is our biggest market. We have already unveiled our new model there and in Europe. After here, we will unveil it in few more Asian countries, including China," Mr. Buxton said.

The company Bentley had sold around 5,000 cars internationally in 2009.

The China market, he added, is almost 10 times bigger for Bentley than India. (With Input from Agencies)
