In a deal announced recently, the world witnessed two giants in their space coming together to launch a plug-in hybrid technology named Revolvo in the Indian market. While the technology is being jointly developed by Bharat Forge and KPIT Cummins, it is believed that the will hit the Indian market in a matter of the next six months.
Notably, the technology has the potential to revolutionise the use of the hybrids cars in the Indian market.
While both the parties refused to comment on the price but affirmed the fact that it will be very competitive keeping in mind the needs of the price sensitive Indian consumer.
In fact, Ravi Pandit, Chairman and Group CEO, KPIT Cummins, said, that this technology will empower the auto majors to look at the option of developing vehicles that will able to give very mileage and at the same time will produce very low emissions.
Baba Kalyani, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Forge, said that this technology has the potential to give to the consumer the best of both worlds i. e. high performance with a high mileage.
