BHEL Q4 Net Rises 41%

BHEL Q4 Net Rises 41%State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) has announced a 41.7 per cent growth in its net profit, which stood at Rs 1,909.58 crore during the fourth quarter of 2009-10.

BHEL made a net profit of Rs 1,347.47 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

During the quarter, total income increased to Rs 14,152.63 crore as compared to Rs 11,047.24 crore in January-March 2009.

Net profit for the fiscal ended March 2010 surged 37.3% to Rs 4,310.64 crore from Rs 3,138.21 crore during the previous fiscal.

The company's total income increased to Rs 34,396.67 crore for 2009-10, against Rs 27,646.61 crore in the previous fiscal.

BHEL's board members have declared a dividend of Rs 12.30 a share.

At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the BHEL shares were trading at Rs 2,237.90, down 1.1% as against the last closure at Rs 2,262.95. (With Inputs from Agencies)
