BHEL wins order worth Rs 2600 crore

BHEL wins order worth Rs 2600 crore Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), the state-run power equipment maker, has bagged a Rs. 2,600-crore order from Jindal India Thermal Power Ltd.

The company received the order for Jindal India's 1,200 MW (2 x 600 MW) greenfield power project located at Derang in the Angul district of Orissa.

BHEL's scope of work in this contract envisages design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of Steam Turbines, Generators and Boilers, along with associated Auxiliaries and Electricals, besides state-of-the-art Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) and Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs).

The scrip of the company today closed at Rs 2273, down 2% compared to its previous close on BSE.
