Amitabh Bachchan will again be seen hosting the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), but on a new channel, Sony.

KBC's last season, which saw King Khan stepping in as host, failed to magnetize as many eyeballs as the first two seasons of the show.

Gradually, consensus came forth that Mr. Bachchan did a great job.

At a press conference for the show's official announcement, Big B said, "I am glad to be back with 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. It is always a great pleasure to be associated with BIG Synergy."

Based on the British show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?", Kaun Banega Crorepati created history when it was first launched on Star Plus in the year 2000 with Mr. Bachchan as the host.

Big B came back with the second season in the year 2005, after which superstar SRK took over the baton in 2007.

Now, Big B, as he is popularly known, is back to allure the viewers.

But, channel officials stated that there would be "many changes" in the format and process of the show, details of which would be disclosed at a press conference later.

Mr. Ajit Thakur, business head of Sony TV stated, "The audition process will be more elaborate and this time the first 10 contestants will be chosen through an on-ground event where Amitabh-ji will engage in a video conference and ask questions."

Sony is sure that the viewers will return to see the show as they have "retained the three pillars of the show".
