New Delhi [India], Oct 11 : As Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is celebrating his 74th birthday today, the nation collectively sent him well wishes through the social media.

Fans and celebrity alike took to Twitter and other social media platforms to relive the 73-year-old superstar's best moments in the film industry as well as the good things to come following this special day.

One well wisher tweeted "#HappyBirthdayAmitabhBachchan. Let's start the day with a love song of @SrBachchan" along with the popular romantic song from the movie from 1981, 'Silsila' titled 'Dekha Ek Khwab To Yeh Silsile Hue.'

The early 1970s witnessed Bachchan's stardom for his hit movies like 'Deewar' and 'Sholay' among many others. He was dubbed India's first 'angry young man' for his on-screen roles.
