Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu has a reason to be upset as the actress was chucked out of Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film ‘Raavan’.

Earlier, the actress was offered to play the role of Abhishek Bachchan’s wife ‘Mandodari’ in the film. However, as per rumors in the industry, Bips is not doing the film anymore.

This all happened after Bips had her rehearsals, dress fitting and the allocation of 20 days of work in the film.

In the meantime, when reporters approached her and asked the reason for her role being scrapped, the actress said, “I am sad... but it’s better than having my role chopped or totally edited... when lot of effort had gone to work out the role for this guest character.”

Moreover, the real reason behind Bips’s dismissal is still unknown, but sources said that her role in the movie was quite strong and she was upset with the length of her role in the film. Some gossips said that Bips was posing great threat to Aishwarya Rai and Priya Mani.

Now, it’s going to be interesting to see that whether Bipasha will be replaced with any other actress or Mandodori’s role will be completely scrapped in the movie
